Frequently Asked Questions About Corporate Video Production
In an attempt to reach a wide audience, businesses are eager to produce exceptional video content. However, when searching for a professional video producer or production agency, they often have many questions but find answers difficult to come by. To ensure you have all your doubts cleared, Arc and Crown Media Inc. has answered some of the most frequently asked questions about corporate video production.
1. How much does it cost to produce a video with Arc and Crown?
There is no universal number because every video is different. The cost amount to produce a video will vary significantly based on several factors. These factors include the type of video, size, and scope, number of locations, talent, etc.
At the very base, our producer fee is $500 per day, while the videographer charges $1000 for the full shoot day and $750 for half a shoot day. The quickest way to know your video concept cost is by asking us! Click here to contact us and receive your free quote.
2. Who writes the script, the company, client or the video production company?
At Arc and Crown Media, our motto is that you can take as hands-on or hands-off of an approach as you want with production. We usually accommodate three approaches to the scriptwriting phase:
Option 1: You provide us with your script, and we revise and shape it for on-screen success.
Option 2: You provide us with your central message, and our creative team drafts a script based on your material.
Option 3: You can choose a professional writer to create a script for you.
Regardless of how the script gets drafted, the Arc and Crown team works to ensure that your approval and input is prioritized at each revision.
3. Are there any legal ramifications for putting “Creative Commons” video or music I find online into my corporate video?
If the video content is licensed under Creative Commons, then you need to see the range of mediums that permit legal usage. If you have a promotional video, it will usually not be allowed to use content with a Creative Commons license.
Arc and Crown assist in compiling official stock footage and music from reputable sources which can be used free of any royalties and in perpetuity. We also offer the choice of custom music to set your video apart from others.
4. Do I need to get my employees to sign a release form if they appear in the video?
Yes. Anyone that appears on camera should sign a form permitting the use of their likeness in your video. Ideally, your release form will allow for the use of their likeness “in perpetuity,” and also accounts for employee(s) resigning from the company after they've appeared in your video.
5. How long does it take to produce a video?
While ultimately the answers vary greatly depending on the size and scope of the project, the most common timeline that we work with is two to three weeks for pre-production, one day for filming, two weeks for post-production, and two weeks for review and delivery. Overall, our team works closely with you and tailors the schedule to ensure you have the best video product available in time for delivery.
6. Can you edit pre-existing footage or previous assets?
Yes, but provided they have sufficient quality. If our team is producing original content alongside pre-existing footage, we will review and ensure quality on both ends so that they can blend seamlessly.
7. Do you have samples of your work?
Yes, you can take a look at some of our case studies by clicking here.
If our samples do not fit the style that you envision, there’s no worry. A video is an art form, and each one is different. If you want us to bring your ideas to life, feel free to contact us.
