[Dealing With Struggles: Transcript]

It’s really easy to look at someone who has been doing something for a while and say “I’d never be able to do that”.

For me, one of my biggest struggles when it came to creating content for my business was asking myself “is this valuable enough to share”, “is it really helpful to others”, “will people even care”?

And although I saw others in my network creating consistent content, I held back. I’d think of a topic and then debate it until I became too busy with something else to pursue creating a video, article, or even post on the topic.

Once I removed those limiting beliefs last year… and I had to once I committed myself to creating a video a week, I stepped outside of my comfort zone and just began sharing what I knew and what I hoped was interesting to my network.

The response I’ve received over the past year is what’s kept me going, and what inspires me at 7am on a Monday morning to write a script like this one. Because I know other people are struggling with these same thoughts, concerns, or technical challenges.

I have to say, it’s not like every video I put out gets the same reaction, or I’m constantly inundated with positive feedback. But when I look back on the past year and the distant contacts who I’ve re-connected with, the deals I’ve landed, and the opportunities that have presented themselves due to my online presence, I know what I’m doing works.

It can work for you, too. You just need a plan. You need to make a commitment. And you may need some additional help.

But the most important thing is to get over whatever that thing is which is holding you back. The lie that you don’t have enough time – as we make time for things that matter. The fear that you aren’t good enough – like I was having struggles with. Or whatever else it may be.
